While Speaking to the Media, Bears QB Justin Fields Reveals Why He Didn't Play Against the Panthers

As revealed by Bears reporter Courtney Cronin, Bears QB Justin Fields spoke about his absence in the teams TNF win last week:

According to Fields, there was a big chance that he was going to start for the team, but the athletic trainer's ultimately decided that it would be best to keep him sidelined for at least one more game.

It looks like that decision is paying off, as the team announced on Wednesday that Fields is expected to start on Sunday against the Lions, making this his first game since week 6.
