What this New Bears Trade Means for the Future of Chase Young (Video)

Before the Bears made a trade to acquire Commanders DE Montez Sweat, there were several other rumors regarding a different Commanders DE.

Since this past offseason, there have been rumors about the Bears trading for Young during the 2023 season, and more rumors came about as the deadline approached. However, the Bears ended up trading for Sweat, so it looks like having Young in Chicago is unlikely now.

After the trade was announced, NFL insider Ian Rapoport chimed in on the potential future of Young, and explains how this trade may mean that Young will stay in Washington:

Because the Commanders gave up one of the best defensive ends, Rapoport does not believe that they will give up another one, making it unlikely for a Young trade to occur.
