WATCH: Elated Kansas City Chiefs players utilized the Lombardi Trophy as a champagne slide in celebration of their Super Bowl 57 victory
The Kansas City Chiefs emerged victorious in the 57th edition of the NFL's Super Bowl, defeating the Philadelphia Eagles with a score of 38-35.
As expected, the post-game celebrations were tumultuous. The Chiefs, who staged a remarkable comeback from a ten-point deficit to win one of the most thrilling Super Bowls in recent memory, started their celebrations even before leaving the State Farm Stadium. Wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster gave fans a glimpse of the jubilant locker room scene.
At one point, punter Tommy Townsend was seen using the Lombardi Trophy as a channel to pour champagne into his mouth, eliciting exclamations of "He's a dog!" and "He's going crazy!" from his teammates.
Despite the celebratory atmosphere, the win was shrouded in controversy, as the Chiefs received a favorable call that allowed them to secure a crucial first down and eventually kick the winning field goal.
