Virginia McCaskey health situation is very alarming at the moment
Virginia Halas McCaskey is the daughter of the legendary team founder George Halas. When her father died in 1983, she inherited the team. This makes her the longest-tenured owner in the NFL currently.
Bears' insider Jeff Hughes said on an update that she is not well and neither is the team dynamics. He also added: «The family has rarely been in this much turmoil over the last thirty years and there are some close to the organization who believe a sale might actually be on the table once Virginia passes.»
McCaskey's condition is reportedly deteriorating each day that goes by. We wish her the best, health-wise. However, it will be interesting to see what happens when she is gone and who will either buy the team or inherited it.
