Updated Cap space for the NFC North teams
The NFL free agency is upon us. It is a crucial aspect of the building (or the rebuilt) of a roster. But, in order to truly take advantage of this great period, you have to have some cap space.
Here is the updated cap space for all of the NFL North teams as of March 5th:
Chicago Bears $26,308,726
Detroit Lions $26,503,894
Green Bay Packers -$26,404,202
Minnesota Vikings -$15,004,897
As you can see, the Bears are in a pretty solid situation. In addition, to that, we expect Ryan Poles to be able to create at least $9 million more of space by releasing a couple of key players (Ex. Tarik Cohen, Nick Foles, Danny Trevathan and co.).
Another interesting aspect is the horrible situation that both the Packers and the Vikings are in right now. These two teams have a lot of players left to be resigned as well...
