The Bears still have a lot of questions left unanswered on the offensive line. However, one player we don't have to worry about is G Cody Whitehair. He was selected in the second round, with the 56th overall pick by the Bears in the 2016 NFL draft. Whitehair started at left guard during the preseason. He was then moved to the starting center position after the team signed veteran guard Josh Sitton. He went on to start all 16 games at center and was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team.

In 2018, Whitehair played every offensive snap and was named to the Pro Bowl, becoming the first Bears center since Olin Kreutz to play in the all-star game. He was the only Bears player on either side of the ball to participate in every down.

Well, it was reported that Cody Whitehair was excused from practice today. Matt Eberflus smiled and said it was for a good reason.

This is obviously not a huge deal. I'm certain that Whitehair had a personal, but joyful reason for missing practice today.

We will be able to provide you guys with more details later on.
