This secondary player is the most underrated player on the roster!
The Chicago Bears are not a very deep team currently, especially in the secondary. However, a player that is extremely underrated and seems to always make plays when he is on the field is DeAndre Houston-Carson.
A few months ago, it was announced that the Bears are re-signing safety and special teams ace DeAndre Houston-Carson. He agreed to terms with the team on a one-year, $1.77 million, fully guaranteed.
He will be coming back for his 7th season with the Bears. He started in 3 contests last season. He has over 50 tackles. However, he made his biggest impact on special teams. He has been, during his time in Chicago, one of the best special teams players in all of football.
His 2021 season was cut short due to a fractured forearm. He should be able to recover very nicely from that. Houston-Carson is recognized as one of the best leaders on the team. A crucial asset in the locker room for the Bears.

I truly expect him to take a huge step next season and he could turn out to be a surprise in 2022.
