The Bears met with Penn-State receiver Jahan Dotson at the combine. If he was available in the second round, this is certainly a player Poles will consider. Ryan Poles has mentioned that he will be actively looking to acquire a premiere receiver that Justin Fields can depend on when he needs.
The Bears have signed both Byron Pringle and Equanemious St-Brown in free agency but we are still looking for a true #1.
Dotson has great vertical speed and can take the top off of the defense. He isn't only a speedster, however. His route running ability compares with the best and has amazing skills at the catch point. He could be a very dependable target for Fields. Dotson had 1182 yards and 12 touchdowns his final year at Penn-State.
