The rise of Ryan Poles

When George McCaskey interviewed Ryan Pole for the thankfully vacant GM spot he has said that Poles was more than candid about the current Bears roster. In the past, McCaskey seemed to not want to heed warnings about the roster, now it would seem he has changed course.
McCaskey was quoted saying «Ryan's assessments, by my reckoning, were accurate, and I liked the plan that he had to address it.» By trading Mack and cutting other players like Goldman and Cohen, Poles' focus seems to be on the draft versus free agency.
Bandaids won't win us a super bowl let alone a divisional title. Poles aims to be different from Emery and Pace, rebuilding the roster with young talent we can develop sounds way more promising than signing old vets that won't be around long enough to make an impact. Collecting younger veterans to fill out the depth chart while the draftees develop and learn is honestly the best case scenario and something the Bears have needed to do since the Lovie days.
With two winning seasons in the past decade and Virginia McCaskey's 100th birthday on the horizon, things seem to be coming to a head. Whether that be for the best or not, time will tell...
Here is Ryan Poles evaluating the current roster:
