The Bears were very interested in all-pro corner!
Cornerback Patrick Peterson announced yesterday on "All Things Covered," the podcast he co-hosts with Bryant McFadden, that he will be signing with the Minnesota Vikings on a one-year contract.
However, the interesting fact about this news is that he then mentioned that the Bears were one of the others teams who showed him a lot of interest. In fact, he said the Bears as the first other team, without hesitation.
While this does not help us directly, it shows that Ryan Poles is still trying to bring solid players on shorter terms deals. A lot of fans have been getting impatient about the few signings he has made. No need to worry, he will land a few other solid starters in free agency, I'm very positive about that.
