The Bears have tried out two specialist players
While the Bears' special teams have been pretty solid so far this year, this does not mean that you can't always upgrade. Well, this is what GM Ryan Poles and his staff are trying to accomplish every single day.
Indeed, Brad Biggs reported that the Bears have tried out P James Smith and LS Mitchell Fraboni.
Smith is left-footed as is NYG P Jamie Gillan. Teams like returners to see the spin of a left-footed punt. The Bears brought in some lefty punters during August as well.
It will be interesting to see what happens, but I still don't expect them to make a chance just yet, since the current specialist have been doing a pretty solid job so far this season.
