The Bears have signed a safety!
Courtney Cronin reported that the Chicago Bears have agreed to terms with safety Dane Cruikshank on a one-year deal with over $1 million guaranteed.
Cruikshank, listed at 6"1, 210 pounds was a fifth-round pick out of the University of Arizona in 2018. The defensive back played mostly on special teams through his first two seasons in the NFL, appearing in 28 total games. He then took a massive step in 2021 and had the best season of his career. The 26-year-old set career-highs across the board while appearing in about half of his team's defensive snaps. In 14 games (four starts), Cruikshank collected 43 tackles and one forced fumble. He has shown that he can provide excellent play in pass coverage and also be a pretty solid run-blocker!
