The Bears have released a rookie safety
Earlier on Friday morning, it was reported the Bears were signing cornerback Davontae Harris. As a corresponding move, the team has waived safety Jon Alexander.
Alexander had signed with the Bears as an undrafted free agent in May.
I thought he had a very solid shot to compete for a practice squad spot, but it looks like he fell just short. However, I fully expect him to have other opportunities in this league as the talent he possessed clearly is undeniable.
Alexander, 22, will look to make a roster on a different team for the 2022 season!
