The Bears selected RB Trestan Ebner late in the draft. I want to focus on his ability to catch the football. When you are a late-round running back, you need to have one particular skill set that you excel in. Well, it's pretty obvious that Ebner's is receiving.

Ebner who is listed at 5'11», 206 lbs was a do-it-all RB for Baylor as a runner, receiver out of the backfield and punt/kick returner. Last season, he was named the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Year and voted first-team all-Big 12 as a return specialist and all-purpose player.

He was a touchdown machine and by touchdown machine, I am not simply speaking from the one-yard line multiple times. No! I am talking about huge yardage before his touchdowns. As I watch his highlights I cannot comprehend how he was not off of the board sooner.

Out of his 23 total touchdowns in college, 11 of them were receptions! He had a total of 127 receptions in college and if you look at his highlight tape, you will see how explosive he is. I believe he will be the third running back on the depth chart and if he plays the way that he did in college, he could split time with Khalil Herbert. I see great potential for him to be used on third downs as a threat as a receiver. I can even see him split out as a receiver in certain formations. I am excited to see how Luke Getsy will use him in his offense.

Here is Jacob Infante's explanation of how impactful he could be through the air:
