Sources Confirm that Bears QB PJ Walker has been Released

As reported by NFL insider Jonathan Jones, the Bears have decided to release quarterback PJ Walker:

So it looks like the Bears were not thrilled with Walker's performance in this preseason. After recently signing with the team this past offseason, the Bears are letting him go before week 1.

Walker is a former XFL star. He was the 2020 passing yards leader and passing touchdowns leader with the XFL.

This release also means that Tyson Bagent has won the QB2 position.

I don't think Walker's NFL career is over yet, but his time in Chicago is
