As the trade deadline ended on October 31st, the Bears made a news breaking trade, as they have acquired Commanders DE Montez Sweat:
In exchange, the Bears traded way their 2024 2nd-round draft pick, so hopefully this trade works out well!
After this breaking news, twitter reacted to the big trade:
It looks like some are happy, but some aren't.
Some fans feel like the Bears gave up too much by sending away their 2nd round pick. They are also worried that Sweat will not sign an extension, causing for him to leave Chicago after the season.
However, some believe that this an A+ trade. Sweat is on the rise to being a top DE, and unlike Chase Young, he has been able to stay healthy.
It's hard to say what will happen in the future, but hey, I like this trade, and am hopeful that Sweat will help change this defense for the better.
