"Man, it makes me so happy, just knowing my career is not going down the drain."
- Smith said in regards to the Bears
Smith was traded away after contract extension discussions went nowhere. After leaving Chicago however, Smith's career took off.
Since joining the Ravens, Smith has been named as a 1st Team All-Pro and a Pro Bowler. His career has since improved tremendously, and he is happy to be out of Chicago.
Though this is a brutal statement to make, I feel like many Bears do agree with Smith.
