SEE HERE: Bears OC Luke Getsy Takes the Blame for 4th Down Mistake
During the Bears/Lions matchup, the Bears decided to go for it on 4th and 1, just ahead of the 40 yard line. Though the team needed just one yard, the Bears were not able to get the first down, and turned the ball over.
This play was drawn up as a pitch to WR DJ Moore, but it did not work out.
While talking to the media today, Bears offensive coordinator Luke Getsy spoke about the play, and took blame for it not working:
Thankfully the Bears did end up winning this game, but Getsy needs to do better if he wants to stay in Chicago for 2024.
