SEE HERE: Bears First Overall Prospect Caleb Williams Offers Shoutout to Former Coach after Hire with Williams' Hometown
After it was announced that Kliff Kingsbury officially signed with the Commanders as their new OC, his former player, and likely first overall draft pick, Caleb Williams reacted, via his instagram:
Williams spent this past season in USC working with Kingsbury, who was USC's QB coach and senior offensive analyst. The two build a close bond, and became a dynamic duo in 2023.
Williams will be entering the NFL this offseason, and with the Bears holding the first overall pick, it is likely that they will draft him at 1.
However, there have been several rumors spreading around Williams not wanting to be in Chicago next season, but rather, back in his hometown: Washington.
Williams was born and raised in Washington, and now with his former coach joining the team as an OC, it seems likely that he is eyeing a possible trade for him to land with the Commanders.
