Ryan Poles talks about his strategy at wide receiver
ESPN staff writer, Courtney Cronin had the chance to interview GM Ryan Poles and he said some very interesting stuff.
He was asked about the wide receiver situation currently on the roster. He is his response:
«It's funny, because there's a lot of panic, like, You need receivers'» said Poles.«I think Davante [Adams] was taken in the second, right? So there's talent there. It's not always going to be like that, I get it. And we're going to be patient. If it's not there, we're not going to do it and force it, either.»
This is again on par with the mindset we have seen and heard ever since Poles took the reigns in Chicago. It's not always the prettiest way to go about it, but it's definitely the right way. I genuinely believe that by not overspending this offseason in free agency, Ryan Poles is setting this team very nicely for the future.
