RUMOR: NFL Made Their Choice For Final Primetime Games Of The Season
For the second straight year, the NFL will hold a Saturday doubleheader during the final week of the regular season. The NFL waited for the second straight year until the Sunday games ended in Week 17 to reveal who would be playing in that doubleheader.
Indeed, the league has announced that the Saturday schedule will look like this in Week 18:
Chiefs (13-3) at Raiders (6-10), 4:30 p.m. ET (ESPN/ABC)Titans (7-9) at Jaguars (8-8), 8:15 p.m. ET (ESPN/ABC)
The Jaguars and Titans are heading in opposite directions at the moment, as the Jaguars have won six of their last eight games, and the Titans have lost their last six games in a row. How these teams face off for the AFC South title is a little hard to believe, but they're here, and it all comes down to this game.
There is a chance that if the Jaguars were to lose, they'd be in a position to make the playoffs still. The Jaguars would need the Dolphins to lose to the Jets, the Patriots to lose to the Bills, and the Steelers to lose to the Browns, which isn't out of the question, to get in without winning on Saturday.
