Roster Moves: Bears have placed WR on IR and Waived Newcomer

As announced by top NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Bears have placed WR Dante Pettis on IR and waived WR Joe Reed with an injury designation:

Pettis signed with the Bears before the 2022 season, and then recently resigned with the team this offseason. In 17 games played with the Bears last season, Pettis caught 19 passes for 245 yards, along with 3 TDs. It has not been revealed what kind of injury Pettis sustained.

WR Joe Reed was a member of the Chargers from 2020 until 2022. Reed then signed a reserve/future contract with the Bears in January of 2023, but was then waived by the team today.
