"The Chicago Bears and general manager Ryan Pace made a huge splash on Wednesday when they traded for a quarterback. That QB was of course Nick Foles as the Bears sent a 4th round pick to Jacksonville in return. With Foles carrying a heavy contract and an already established relationship with Matt Nagy and Bill Lazor, many came to the conclusion Foles was coming over to takeover the starting position. However that doesn't seem to be the case. According to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, Trubisky is still looked at as the starter and has the "upper hand" in any sort of competition. Garafolo does make it clear though that Trubisky will have a short leash.
