"The Chicago Bears lost a big piece of this years success when defensive coordinator Vic Fangio accepted the open Denver Broncos head coaching job. With Fangio gone, the Bears have a defense that is still ready to be one of the league's best next season with a lot of pieces sticking around. It seems that one of the NFL's recently fired coaches could jump in and fill the Bears vacancy. NFL insider Adam Schefter Tweeted out on Wednesday that former New York Jets head coach Todd Bowles has a special connection to the current Bears' staff. Matt Nagy's father coached Bowles in high school and Schefter adds that he's currently being considered as Fangio's replacement. He also points out that despite lots of chatter, Bowles has not signed any form of agreement yet with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
