Report: Raiders will be Interviewing Former Bears Coach for their Offensive Coordinator Position
Shortly after the Bears fired many of their offensive staff, including OC Luke Getsy, is has now been revealed that Getsy may be getting another chance in the NFL.
As reported earlier today, the Raiders are set to interview Getsy for their open OC position:
The Raiders fired their OC earlier this season, and are in need of filling this role full time. The Raiders have expressed interest in Getsy for his run-game success, but have not mentioned his pass-game.
All season long, Bears fans have been waiting for the team to fire Getsy due to his predictable and boring pass-game calls, something that has put a negative look on QB Justin Fields.
Most of Getsy's play calling was around screen passes, and those got predictable very quickly. Getsy is not a creative play caller, so a move like this for the Raiders is confusing.
