As the Chicago Bears season is winding down and the team gets ready for the playoffs, one of their veterans was given an award on Thursday. Cornerback Prince Amukamara was named the 2018 Bears Media Good Guy by the Chicago chapter of the Pro Football Writers of America. Amukamara has been recognized this year as the player who has helped the media due their jobs and the media said he's been consistently available for them and been cooperative, thoughtful, friendly and has also provided great insight when being interviewed. The runners up were Matt Nagy and Akiem Hicks. Allen Robinson, Eddie Jackson, Kyle Fuller and Mitch Trubisky also received votes. Amukamara had previously won the award with the New York Giants as well. «And just knowing that you guys have a job to do,» Amukamara said. «Then I put my own flair to it. I try to be as personable, authentic and transparent as a I can, and just try to give you guys as much insight as I'm allowed.»
Zach Miller won the award last year.
