Philidelphia Eagles rookie wide receiver Devon Allen won the 110-meter hurdles at the USATF NYC Grand Prix on Sunday, posting a time of 12.84 seconds, the third-fastest time in history.
His time clocks in only four-hundredths of a second off the world record (12.80), set by Aries Merritt in 2012.
Allen said after the race:
"I thought I could break the record today," "Clean up a few things, and four-hundredths of a second is four-thousandths of a second per hurdle, which is so small. Going to have to wait for another race."
Imagine how quick this guy could be on the football field. Of course, not everyone can bring track speed and implement it in football as we've seen with other speedsters. It will be exciting to see how the Eagles use him as they have a pretty good looking receiving group for Jalen Hurts.
