NFL Insider Ian Rapoport Hints at when Bears QB Justin Fields will Return

After suffering a thumb injury in week 6, Bears QB Justin Fields has been sidelined since.

There has been no official timeline of when Fields will return to the field, but NFL insider Ian Rapoport may help us answer some questions.

According to Rapoport, Fields could potentially return to practice this week, but not necessarily the playing field. His grip strength is getting better, which is a great sign, but he may not be ready for a game quite yet.

Though nothing is official, it is safe to say that Tyson Bagnet will most likely be starting for the Bears in week 9 against the Saints, but Fields should be returning shortly.
