New Bears QB got his car stolen in Chicago!
The Bears agreed to terms with QB Trevor Siemiam two weeks ago. I loved the signing from Day 1. I think he has a chance to be an excellent backup/mentor to young stud QB Justin Fields. Hopefully, he does not have to take the field too much, but if he does, he has proven in the past that he is a very capable player.
However, Siemian got a very bad welcome in the city of Chicago. His car was stolen while it was parked on the South Side about a week ago.
Chicago City Wire confirmed that one of two cars stolen from Beverly Country Club, 8700 S Western Ave, was a new Dodge SRT belonging to Siemian.
The second car stolen was owned by Michael Gallagher, managing director at Morgan Stanley, sources tell Chicago City Wire.
This has, unfortunately, been an issue in the great city of Chicago in the past few years. In fact, Crime has become a leading concern for citizens living in and around Chicago. The rates have spiked over the pandemic, with the murder rates being the highest since 1995. This year alone auto thefts are up over 40%, thefts are up 60% and burglaries are up 32%.
Of course, Siemian will be fine, but let's just say this is not the best welcome gift for our newest quarterback...
