Mock: New Mock Draft Has Bears Trading Away 9th Pick and Drafting LSU Wide Receiver

In a new mock draft from Sports Illustrated's Gene Chamberlain, he predicts the Bears trading away their 9th overall pick in exchange for some extra picks and moving back, acquiring the 19th overall pick:

Mock Draft 3.0 Loaded with Bears Trades

With the 19th overall pick, Chamberlain has the Bears selecting LSU WR Brian Thomas Jr. Thomas Jr. played for LSU from 2021-2023, and had his breakout year this past season.

Thomas Jr. finished this last season with a total of 68 catches for 1,177 yards, along with 17 touchdowns. He was named as a Second-team All-SEC.

Leading up to this upcoming draft, Bleacher Report has listed Thomas Jr. as having top notch acceleration and speed, along with having an above-average ability to catch deep throws.

Thomas Jr. is definitely a player to keep an eye on.
