Mitch Trubisky gets the WR everyone in Bears Nation wanted
Pretty much everyone in Bears Nation wanted GM Ryan Poles to select at least one WR on Day 2 of the NFL draft. He did when he chose WR Velus Jones with the 71st pick. While it wasn't a big-name player that everyone wanted, it's still an explosive playmaker.
However, one guy that so many people in Bears' media wanted was Georgia WR George Pickens. He was available for the Bears to select not only once, but twice. However, Poles trusted his draft board and went with two secondary players. I can't blame him because I really feel like we got two solid contributors in CB Kyler Gordon and S Jaquan Brisker.
George Pickens was then selected a few picks later by the Pittsburgh Steelers. This means that the bigger slap in the face is that our former QB Mitch Trubisky is the one who will have to chance to play with Pickens...
I guess we have to be happy for him.
