Looks like Matt Eberflus' high motor approach is already paying off
If we have learned one thing from the new Bears HC Matt Ebeflus in the past few months, it's that he is a very intense coach and that he demands the same intensity from his players, on both sides of the ball.
Bears reporter, Adam Hoge who was on campus yesterday reported this:
A Key Bears practice observation: After a dropped pass, the ball was immediately picked up by the defense and the entire unit went into return mode as if it was a fumble. Expect the defense to go after every ball on the ground, as they did in the Lovie days.
I love that! This will be a key if the Bears want to have any kind of success next year. Let's not kid ourselves, the Bears will probably have a below-average roster to start the year. However, we have seen multiple teams having loads of success by being way more intense than anyone else. I truly believe this defense will have a chance to be a very good one if they stick to Eberlfus' approach!
