Chicago Bears guard Kyle Long has been dealing with health issues going back to last season. Long has avoided some surgeries and tried to work through the pain, however it never worked out too good. The Bears guard finally decided to accept to be cut open to try and get healthy for the 2018 season. Long shared some pictures on social media of him in a hospital bed explaining his left shoulder issues actually caused other problems throughout his body and he decided to accept an operation on his neck. He tore the labrum in his shoulder last season and chose not to have surgery. Instead he decided to accept ankle surgery last season which kept him off the field to start training camp anyways. The guard also hurt his hand during the season which eventually led him to being placed on injured reserve. Long also stated he'll probably be getting more work done since he's had a jump start to his offseason.
