J.J. Watt Reveals Why he Turned Down Playing for this team...
J.J. Watt was a player everyone loved. No matter what team you cheered for, it was always nice seeing Watt do well. He is a great guy all around, and one of the most exciting players of this generation. Watt spent most of his career in Houston, and then played the last two in Arizona, but it turns out, he almost signed with a different team.
While on the Green Light podcasted, hosted by Chris and Kyle Long, J.J. Watt revealed that he almost ended playing with his two brothers, Derek and T.J., and joining the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Watt explains how we was close to signing with the Steelers, but he then found out that his brother T.J. was going through a contract situation, and wanted to make sure he did not take away any money meant for his little brother. Watt stated:
"It certainly would have been awesome to play with my brothers, but T.J. was also going through the contract situation there, so the last thing I wanted to do was come in and take any money away from his contract"

Watt announced last season that he was retiring from the game once the season was finished. He ends his incredible career with a total of 114.5 sacks, 586 tackles, and 27 forced fumbles. He is a 5-time Pro Bowler, 3-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, a 5-time First-Time All-Pro, 2-time Sacks leader, and the 2017 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year.
If things went about a bit differently, then J.J. could have been playing along his brothers to end his career, something the NFL world would have loved to see.
