Jets OC Nathaniel Hackett Claps back at Sean Payton for Hurtful Comments
There has been lots of talk about the disrespectful comments Broncos coach Sean Payton made about former Broncos coach and current Jets OC Nathaniel Hackett. Payton referred to Hackett's coaching job as "one of the worst," and fully bashed his coaching style, and blames him for the disappointing season the Broncos had in 2022 Now, Hackett is speaking out, and clapping back at Payton. Hackett said this to reporters:
"I've been involved in this business my whole life, 43 years, and as a coach, as a coach's kid, we live in a glass house. We know that. And it's one of those things that there's a code, there's a way things are done in that house. This past week, it's frustrating and it sucks, but we're all susceptible to it. There are things you do, mistakes you make, and it costs you time on the field, costs you your job, all those things, and I own all that stuff"
Though Payton has publicly stated that he will apologize, Hackett made it clear that he never got an apology.
Hackett is being the bigger man, and hopefully Payton learns a thing or two.
