Jaguars have stolen a linebacker from the Bears!
Brad Biggs reported that the Jacksonville Jaguars have claimed LB Caleb Johnson off waivers from the Bears.
Johnson, 24, signed with the Bears as an undrafted free agent following the 2021 NFL draft. He has shown some solid things ever since he joined the Bears. He played in 14 games for Chicago as a rookie, tallying four special teams tackles.
He attended Houston Baptist and became the first player in their football program's history to sign with an NFL team. Johnson ranks first all-time in school history with seven fumble recoveries, second with 10.0 sacks, and third with 278 career tackles.
While it's never nice to see a Bears player being claimed off waivers by other teams, it's part of the game!
