Former NFL Player Compares the Bears Passing on Patrick Mahomes to rookie CJ Stroud
This past offseason, the Bears traded away the number 1 overall pick in the draft for WR DJ Moore, but former NFL player Clay Harbor thinks the Bears may be regretting this trade.
This weekend, many players displayed some impressive performances, but it looks like rookie QB CJ Stroud is making the most noise:
Stroud was drafted at number 2 this past offseason, and if the Bears still had the number 1 spot, then maybe they would have chosen him.
Something similar happened a few years ago, when the Bears drafted QB Mitch Trubisky and passed on QB Patrick Mahomes. To this day, the Bears regret the decision, which may go down as one of the biggest mistakes in sport's history.
Stroud is having himself a year, and is even in MVP conversations. He is likely to win Rookie of the Year, but MVP is not impossible reach as well.
