Former Chicago Bears Player /1st-Round Pick has Signed with the Chargers

As revealed this afternoon, the Chargers have signed former 1st-round draft pick and Bears OT Alex Leatherwood:

Leatherwood was drafted by the Raiders as their 1st-round pick in 2021. However, he struggled during his rookie year and was waived ahead of the 2022 season.

Just one day after being waived, the Bears claimed Leatherwood. He stayed in Chicago until the beginning of the 2023 season, as the Bears decided to release him ahead of last season.

He then signed with the Browns, but after his contract expired this offseason, he was let go.

Now, Leatherwood will be joining the Chargers and has hopes of making the final roster.
