Former Bears lineman is signing with NFC North rivals
The Vikings are signing nose tackle Khyiris Tonga off the Falcons' practice squad, Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reported earlier today.
Tonga made his entrance into the NFL as a seventh-round choice of the Bears in 2021.
He played in 15 games last season and made 24 tackles, a tackle for loss, and also had a fumble recovery as a rookie.
However, the Bears surprisingly cut Tonga on Aug. 31, and he signed with the Falcons' practice squad.
Adam Hoge very wisely reported that the Bears and the Vikings have now essentially traded Tonga with former Vikings DT Armon Watts
