Mike Garafolo has announced that the Falcons are re-signing former Bears return specialist Cordarrelle Patterson. He will still have the same role where he emerged last year as one of the league's best do-it-all players.
Patterson is 30, and a former first-round pick by the Vikings. He played in Chicago from 2019 to 2020 and was a first-team all-pro return specialist both years. He was never really utilized properly on the offensive side of the ball but it seems like he has found his groove in Atlanta.
He is a key offensive piece coming off career-highs in touches (205), yards from scrimmage (1166) and TDs (11).
