Yes, our season has been trash. Yes, we have some work to do in the off-season. But one thing the Bears won't have to look for next year is a quarterback. The sophomore season for Justin Fields has had its share of ups and downs, but we can all agree that the kid has wheels.
With today's loss to the Eagles, Justin has become the third quarterback in history to reach 1000 rushing yards in one season. He joins the company of Lamar Jackson and Michael Vick. Fields made his thousandth yard on a one-yard carry in the fourth quarter.
Although Fields is grateful for the accomplishment, he doesn't plan on making it a habit.
"I don't plan on rushing for a thousand yards every year," Fields replied with a smile. "Like I said before, it's an honor and a blessing from God and I couldn't do it without my coaches and teammates."
Hopefully, this year is just a taste of what's to come from Justin. I love seeing him succeed.
