ESPN reporter provides update on N'Keal Harry's ankle injury
Bears WR N'Keal Harry, 24, went down on the first play of team drills when a screen pass went his direction. The wide receiver appeared to have his ankle rolled up when linebacker Nicholas Morrow tackled him. The receiver could not put any weight on his left ankle and had to be helped off the field by a trainer and a few teammates.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that Bears wide receiver N'Keal Harry suffered an ankle injury that appears severe but is awaiting further evaluation and hoping for the best, per source. Got hurt Saturday. Traded from New England, Harry was working on a fresh start in Chicago.
Here is now a report from Ian Rapoport:
Bears head coach Matt Eberflus is not scheduled to speak to reporters until Tuesday, so the wait for official word on his status might have to wait until that point.
Harry was traded to the Bears by the Patriots for a seventh-round pick last month. Harry was a 2018 first-round pick, but has underwhelmed with 57 catches for 598 yards and four touchdowns to this point in his career.
