During the inaugural game, XFL Broadcast introduced an amazing feature that the NFL should adopt.
While the XFL may not pose a significant threat to the NFL, the newly launched league does offer several remarkable features that Roger Goodell and his colleagues may want to consider adopting.
In the first game of the 2023 XFL relaunch, which took place on Saturday and saw the Vegas Vipers visit the Arlington Renegades, an impressive feature was unveiled during the ESPN broadcast. Viewers were granted the ability to listen in on the offensive coordinator as he communicated with the quarterback to make a play call.
In the clip below, you can hear Jonathan Hayes, the co-offensive coordinator of the Renegades, directing a play to quarterback Drew Plitt:
WWE head Vince McMahon initially launched the XFL back in 2001, but the league was terminated after just one season. In 2018, McMahon announced his intention to revive the league, with a relaunch planned for 2020. However, the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in the cancellation of the 2020 season. Before the XFL went to auction, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, along with his business partner Dany Garcia and Gerry Cardinale (the founder of RedBird Capital Partners), purchased the league.
