Details on Ryan Griffin's contract
It was reported yesterday that the Bears and TE Ryan Griffin have agreed to terms on a one-year deal.
Here are the complete details of the contract he signed:
Bears TE Ryan Griffin's one-year, $2.25 million deal includes a $250 000 signing bonus. In addition to that, $500 000 of his $1.75 million salary is guaranteed. He also has $14 706 per-game active roster bonuses, and a $350 000 catches, yards, and playoffs incentives, per Aaron Wilson.
Griffin, 32 played for the Houston Texans from 2013 to 2018 and the New York Jets from 2019 to 2021. He played in 119 games and started 67 of them. In 12 starts last year, he had 261 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns. While those stats are far from spectacular, he could provide solid veteran help and be a reliable goal-line target for QB Justin Fields.
