Darius Slayton Hits Back at Jaquan Brisker's Criticism of Daniel Jones
Chicago Bears safety Jaquan Brisker recently took to Twitter to express his thoughts on the Baltimore Ravens placing the franchise tag on Lamar Jackson instead of giving him a contract extension, calling the New York Giants' quarterback, Daniel Jones, "trash". However, not everyone agrees with the Giants' decision to make Jones the seventh highest-paid quarterback in the NFL, including Brisker.
Giants receiver Darius Slayton didn't hesitate to clap back at Brisker, reminding him of the score of the two teams' Week 4 game, which the Giants won 20-12. Although Jones struggled as a passer in that game, completing only eight passes on 13 attempts, throwing for 71 yards and zero touchdown passes, he still managed to rush for 282 total yards and two touchdowns.
Brisker did have a sack of Jones in that game, but overall played one of his worst games of the season in Week 4, according to Pro Football Focus. In fact, his Week 4 performance was his third worst of the season as the Giants torched the Bears' run defense.
While opinions on Jones' performance may differ, it's clear that the Bears and Giants have some unfinished business on the field.
