Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin experienced a cardiac arrest during a football game in January 2023.

One year after his injury, Damar Hamlin reflects on the positive outcome that followed it. The Buffalo Bills player commemorated the one-year anniversary of his on-field cardiac arrest during the Buffalo Bills' game against the Cincinnati Bengals by sharing a heartwarming post on Instagram.

Hamlin collapsed after making a tackle on Tee Higgins near midfield. Although he initially stood up after the play, he soon collapsed and received immediate medical attention from the team's medical staff. It was later revealed that Hamlin had suffered cardiac arrest on the field, but his heartbeat was successfully restored, and he was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Remarkably, Hamlin was cleared to return to the football field just four months after his life was in jeopardy on January 2, 2023, during a Monday Night Football game between the Bills and Bengals. He made his comeback in October, participating as part of the Bills' special teams for kick returns in their game against the Miami Dolphins.

During the current season, Hamlin has recorded two tackles in just five games played. Over his three seasons with the Bills, the former sixth-round pick has accumulated 95 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and forced one fumble.
