One week after basically getting booed out of the building for hitting the upright four times, Chicago Bears kicker Cody Parkey has been named NFC Special Teams Player Of The Week.
Parkey made all three of his field goals against the Vikings including a 48 yard kick that gave the team a two score lead with 2:48 left in the game.
The kicker is the third Bears player to win a player of the week award this season, linebacker Danny Trevathan took one home in Week 2 and quarterback Mitch Trubisky took it home in Week 10.
Hopefully this motivates Parkey to continue practicing at Soldier Field during the week as the weather gets crazier.
