Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane on his way to a Canadian team? One analyst is highly confident in this possibility.
With the rapidly approaching NHL trade deadline, the hockey community is still grappling with the fate of Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane. There have been numerous rumors about his possible transfer to several contending teams, including the New York Rangers.
However, Chris Drury, the Rangers General Manager, decided to acquire Vladimir Tarasenko from the St. Louis Blues owing to the uncertainty of Kane's health and his ability to perform well in the playoffs. This decision was met with disappointment from Kane, but one hockey insider views it as a wise choice.
Mark Spector, a highly regarded hockey insider at Sportsnet, thinks that Kane would be a game-changer on a Canadian roster. He stated, "I am of the belief that the Chicago Blackhawks and Edmonton Oilers have come to an agreement to execute a blockbusting trade. I do not think that either Erik Karlsson or Jakob Chychrun are realistic options for the Oilers. A top-six forward would be a home run for the current roster and, in my opinion, Patrick Kane tops the list."
