Breaking News, Philadelphia Eagles Fielding Trade Offers for Two Key Players Prior to NFL Free Agency
The Philadelphia Eagles are gearing up for a busy offseason following their early playoff exit in 2023. According to Ian Rapoport, the NFC team is currently entertaining trade offers for two of their defensive standouts: edge rushers Josh Sweat and Haason Reddick. Both players have been given permission to explore potential trades.
Sweat, originally a fourth-round pick for the Eagles in 2018, has evolved from a rotational player into one of the premier edge rushers in the NFL. The 26-year-old has consistently tallied at least six sacks in each of the last four seasons, including 11 sacks during Philadelphia's Super Bowl run in 2022.
On the other hand, Reddick, aged 29, has been a consistent force on the defensive front, recording double-digit sack totals over the past four seasons. During his two years with the Eagles, he accumulated 16 and 11 sacks, respectively. Reddick's impressive performance earned him Pro Bowl honors in both seasons, with a second-team All-Pro selection in 2022.
