BREAKING: Los Angeles Chargers Player Reportedly Suspended For 17 Games
On Tuesday, the NFL released a list of suspended players to the public.
Chargers' Ryan Smith was among the latter. Per a report from NFL Insider Aaron Wilson, the veteran defensive back has been suspended for 17 weeks of the 2023/24 regular season. This means Smith is set to go for an entire NFL campaign without playing.
It's unclear what led to the suspension, but Smith has been suspended for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances in the past.
Smith most recently played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but was released by the team earlier this month.
This is one of the most significant suspensions we have ever seen in the NFL.
